Description

Long-term connectivity for equipment and plant trackers deployed on Australian worksites.

A 4G data SIM for compatible trackers fitted to construction equipment, plant machinery, rental fleets and site assets. One upfront payment covers 1 to 8 years of service per tracker — no monthly SIM billing to manage across your fleet.

  • ✓ One payment per SIM for 1, 3, 5 or 8 years — no monthly SIM fees, no SIM subscription, no automatic SIM renewal
  • ✓ Telstra and Optus 4G access; network selection may vary depending on coverage and device behaviour
  • ✓ Data-only, built for trackers that report over mobile data
  • ✓ Triple-cut physical SIM — Standard, Micro and Nano slots

Choose your plan

Select a monthly data allowance and validity period from the options above. One payment covers the full term.

What's included

  • 1 × 4G LTE tracker SIM card
  • SIM ejector pin and setup instructions
  • Triple-cut SIM — no separate adapter
  • Free standard shipping

Is this SIM suitable for your equipment tracker?

Equipment type alone does not determine connectivity — check the tracker's cellular technology, supported bands, removable SIM requirement and normal operating method.

✅ May be suitable if the tracker is:

  • Standard 4G LTE compatible, with support for Australian 4G bands
  • Fitted with a physical, removable SIM slot (Standard, Micro or Nano)
  • Operating on mobile data, with SMS needed at most for initial configuration
  • Not locked to embedded or manufacturer-managed connectivity

❌ Not suitable if the tracker is: 2G/3G only (networks closed), LTE-M (Cat-M1) or NB-IoT (Cat-NB1) only, or locked to a proprietary service. This SIM supports compatible standard 4G LTE trackers only — send us the tracker model before ordering and we'll check it with you.

Equipment and plant tracking deployments

Built for the deployments where tracker connectivity is managed in numbers rather than one at a time: construction equipment moving between sites, plant machinery in hire fleets, rental equipment that leaves your yard for months, and site assets that stay in the field between projects. For compatible BYO-SIM trackers, deployment is one physical SIM per tracker, with each SIM carrying its own service term.

Deploying across multiple trackers

Running the same plan structure across an equipment fleet keeps lifecycle management simple: consistent allowances per tracker class, validity terms aligned to hire or project cycles, and renewal handled before expiry through support. Contact us about multi-SIM deployments before rollout and we'll help you structure it.

Powered and non-powered equipment

Hardwired plant trackers and battery trackers on non-powered assets can both suit this SIM — compatibility is set by the tracker's modem, not its power source. Battery trackers deserve an extra check against the LTE-M exclusion above, as some use low-power protocols. Our equipment connectivity guide covers the checks in order.

Network coverage

This SIM has access to Telstra and Optus 4G networks across Australia. Actual connection depends on local coverage, device compatibility and network selection at the site. Check both carriers' coverage maps for the deployment area, particularly regional and remote worksites.

Important things to know before ordering

⚠️ Data-only. No voice or SMS. Trackers that need SMS for first-time setup can be configured with a regular SIM, then switched.

⚠️ Standard 4G LTE only. LTE-M and NB-IoT only trackers are not compatible — check the exact modem specification rather than relying on a "4G" marketing label.

⚠️ A removable physical SIM slot is required. If connectivity is embedded or manufacturer-managed, confirm BYO SIM support before ordering.

⚠️ Validity starts at the SIM's first network connection — not the purchase date. Buy ahead of rollout and store SIMs until each tracker is installed.

Tracking vehicles instead?

For cars, utes, trucks and fleet vehicles, use the GPS Tracker SIM Card.

Monitoring equipment rather than tracking location?

If the device's primary job is sensor readings, logger data or equipment telemetry rather than location tracking, see the Remote Monitoring & Telemetry SIM.

FAQ

What SIM does an equipment tracker need?

A data SIM matched to the tracker's modem: standard 4G LTE trackers with a physical SIM slot may be suitable for this SIM; LTE-M or NB-IoT only trackers are not. The equipment type doesn't decide — the tracker hardware does.

Can a plant machinery tracker use a standard 4G SIM?

If the plant tracker's modem is standard 4G LTE and the SIM is removable, it may be suitable. Hire-fleet plant trackers vary by model — check each tracker class before a fleet-wide rollout.

Can I use one type of SIM across multiple equipment trackers?

Where tracker classes share compatible cellular technology, supported bands, SIM requirements and similar reporting profiles, one plan structure may simplify deployment. Mixed tracker classes should be verified separately.

What should rental and hire operators check?

Three things per tracker class: modem technology (standard LTE vs LTE-M), SIM removability, and whether reporting intervals fit the chosen allowance. Validity starting at first connection means SIMs can be staged ahead of hire cycles.

Is there a monthly fee?

No monthly SIM fee — one payment per SIM for the full term. Any tracking platform fee from the tracker vendor is separate.
